MARKETING ASSISTANT

Brain Candy is seeking a passionate marketing professional in the music industry to assist our Director of Marketing, Mike Ruggiero. This new brain will assist in all marketing operations for the company, our roster of artists, and our clients. From social media management to advertising and email marketing, the ideal candidate for this position is a fast learner, team player, and problem solver who can manage multiple projects at once in the marketing sphere. We are looking for someone who is excited to go beyond the traditional in all they do, build success from the ground up, and join an elite team of like-minded professionals with the goal of disrupting the entertainment industry. This is an entry-level, part-time position that can grow into a full-time position in the entertainment industry. RESPONSIBILITES:​

  • Assist in the ideation, organization, and planning of photo and video social media content for the company, our roster of artists, and our clients.

  • Assist in long-term strategic marketing planning for releases, tours and events on behalf of the company, our roster of artists, and our clients.

  • Assist in building and managing advertising campaigns for company events, artist releases, tours, and more.

  • Assist in copywriting for the company, our roster of artists, and our clients, including but not limited to:

    • Social media posts, marketing plans, graphics, emails, reports, case studies, advertising materials, and more.

  • Assist in client and project management, including correspondents, assets, and more.

  • Assist in managing and executing client feedback, including:

    • Edits to social media content, advertisement proofs, marketing plans, and other client materials as needed

  • Regular assistance in social media platform management, account engagement, and content posting, including but not limited to Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and other platforms

  • Assist in building marketing case studies based on the success stories of our clients and roster artists

  • Assist the Marketing Director with improving processes, spotting new trends, and scaling the department and company as a whole

  • Assist in conducting market research for the entertainment industry, social media, and more

  • Act as liaison between the Marketing Director and various departments, interns, subcontracts, and collaborators both internally and externally

  • Assist in the day-to-day duties of the Director of Marketing and the Marketing Department, and other duties as assigned by the director.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • STRONG communication skills, professional rhetoric, and copywriting skills

  • Extremely detail-oriented

  • Strong project/time management and organization skills

  • Expert familiarity with ideation, creation, editing, and planning of content for use on social media platforms, including but not limited to

    • Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Twitter.

  • Expert knowledge of social media best practices and trends

  • Skilled with social media management tools such as

    • Cloud Campaign, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, HeyOrca, Sendible, Falcon.io, or other similar platforms

  • Experience with capturing and growing audiences on social media using various strategies

  • Familiarity with Meta Advertising, Spotify Marquee, and Google Advertising

  • Proficiency with Google Suite, Asana, Meta Business Suite, WIX, Dropbox, Bandsintown, Spotify for Artists, Linktree, Keychain, Chartmetric

  • Fast learner and performs well in fast-paced environments

  • BONUS POINTS:

    • Prior experience as a freelance social media manager or ads specialist

    • Expertise in editing short-form video content for social media use

    • Certified in Google or Meta advertising

    • Client management experience
