The next ship of Interstellar Interns is preparing for takeoff and we are looking for a Marketing Intern to join the crew! This brain will primarily assist our Creative Overlord Kress in guiding both Brain Candy and our artists through the marketing galaxy. We are looking for someone who always goes beyond the traditional in ideation and implementation of all things marketing. RESPONSIBILITES:​

  • Assist in developing and implementing marketing campaigns for artists, Brain Candy, and its various entities.

  • Assist in social media management and development of Brain Candy’s online presence

  • Collect and analyze data from Brain Candy’s social media platforms

  • Research and appropriately respond to social media algorithmic changes and trends

  • Research and report on potential influencer/brand collaborations and opportunities

  • Assist with SEO plan development for both Brain Candy and roster artists

  • Assist in generating copy for various assets including artist bios, website blurbs, etc.

  • Research and write related articles for the BrainCandyMgmt.com Blog page

  • Assist in creating the monthly BrainWave email newsletter

  • Ensure all marketing materials maintain Brain Candy’s rhetoric and branding

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently pursuing or a recent graduate with a degree related to marketing, journalism, digital media, or similar degree.

  • Experience with social media management and engagement growth

  • Experience with SEO optimization and Google Ads is a plus

  • Experience writing/editing for the web (blogging and other web-based content)

  • Professional rhetoric and communication skills

  • Extremely detail oriented

  • Strong project management and organization skills

  • Proficiency with Google Suite, especially Docs and Slides

  • Must possess a basic understanding of music business/industry vocabulary
